What is TractionWorks™ anti-slip surface treatment?+
TractionWorks™ is the AntiSlip Works branded anti-slip surface treatment service. On suitable tile and mineral surfaces, the treatment is intended to create microscopic surface texture through a controlled surface interaction, helping improve traction when the floor becomes wet without adding a thick visible coating over the existing floor.
Is TractionWorks™ a coating? Will it peel off?+
TractionWorks™ is positioned as a surface treatment rather than a thick film coating. It is intended to work at the floor surface instead of leaving a conventional visible layer over the tile. Suitability and the exact surface response still depend on the material and condition of the floor.
Can the treatment change the colour or appearance of my tiles?+
Yes, some change is possible. Depending on material, colour, finish and previous treatments, a floor may become slightly duller, lighter or show small colour variation. Dark, polished, decorative and sensitive finishes can make changes more noticeable. We discuss this before treatment and use a discreet patch test or spare tile where appropriate.
Will I be able to feel the difference before you leave?+
Where practical, yes. At handover we can review the treated floor with you and use a wet-floor or soapy-water demonstration so you can feel the difference for yourself. This is a practical customer demonstration and should not be presented as a laboratory slip-resistance certification.
How long does the anti-slip effect last?+
Service life varies with floor material, traffic, cleaning method, contamination and how the area is used. Treatment may remain effective beyond one year on suitable surfaces, but actual field performance varies. AntiSlip Works currently backs eligible residential treatments with our 3-Month Traction Assurance.
What is the 3-Month Traction Assurance?+
If you notice a meaningful reduction in wet-floor grip in a treated residential area under normal use during the first three months, contact AntiSlip Works. We will assess the area and provide rectification where the issue falls within the assurance coverage. The assurance does not cover physical damage, tile replacement or renovation, abnormal wear, treatment or coatings applied by others, harsh or unsuitable chemicals, areas not treated by AntiSlip Works, or changes caused by the underlying tile or substrate rather than the treatment. Ongoing cleaning and reasonable after-care are also required.
Can anti-slip treatment help when oil or grease is part of the problem?+
Yes, that is one of the important commercial use cases we assess for kitchens and food preparation spaces. Oil, grease, detergent and repeated wash-down can make a floor behave very differently from a residential bathroom, so we look at the contaminants, cleaning method and operating conditions before recommending a treatment scope.
How is commercial treatment priced?+
Our current indicative commercial treatment range is from $3.00–$5.50 per square foot, subject to minimum project charge and site conditions. Final quotation depends on floor type, contamination, preparation requirements, total area, access and operating conditions.
